My Photography & Your Style

Beautiful photographs are only half the story. It’s only when that imagery is printed and mounted on your wall, does it become art. Everybody has their own sense of style and design for their home and office space. Over the years, I have been constantly amazed by the imaginative ways that my images have been used, both inside homes and workplaces, even as exterior decor in gardens and courtyards.

With modern printing techniques and materials, you are no longer restricted to the ubiquitous black wooden frame, or spend hours (even days or weeks) trying to find that profile and colour to match your room’s decor and furnishings – something that inevitably changes over time anyway. You can now display photographic prints simply and elegantly with timeless frameless mounts.

Below you’ll find further information regarding the type of prints and mounts currently offered…

Frameless Wall Art

Aluminium for a timeless, glare-free surface with excellent picture quality, combined with great durability. Aluminium prints are cured under UV light, effectively protecting the print from sunlight, contaminants, and moisture. This makes aluminium prints suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, even sheltered outdoor areas.

Acrylic Glass mounting for colourful images with real punch. This ultra-modern frameless mount involves laminating a high-definition print under prescription clear acrylic glass. This light-weight, shatterproof material emphasises the photograph's colours depth, making the image really pop. Perfect for high-colour photographs.

Classic Canvas matte prints effectively displays photographs with a prominent style, hanging proud of the wall, yet retaining a soft natural feel. The canvas texture elevates the quality of 'natural materials' that the image projects, making it an especially great choice for full-frame animal portraits and nature.

Frameless Acrylic Glass

Growing in popularity is the high-definition acrylic photo print, featured above. This transforms my photographs into stunning wall décor and is a great alternative to canvas or aluminium prints. An acrylic glass mount, often called 'a print on plexiglass' or 'perspex mounting', transforms photographic prints into stunning wall décor creating rich, impressive colours. Acrylic glass creates light refraction within the mount, giving an incredibly high-definition effect and brilliant colour.

The finished piece is supplied ready to hang on the wall, eliminating the need for any additional wooden picture frame. The backing is made of ultra-light but sturdy aluminium Dibond with a picture hanging system as standard. The wall mount on the back makes hanging a breeze.

Unmounted Colour Prints

Fujifilm Crystal Archive papers are used for all my colour C-type prints. Photographic C-type prints are made by exposing light onto colour paper, which is then developed and washed using traditional photographic techniques.

Exposed by a high-resolution digital printer, this process offers the quality and archival properties of a photographic print with the creativity and consistency that can only be achieved from a digital process. If you're mounting prints behind glass, I strongly recommend a Matte finish.

Unmounted Monochromatic Prints

As C-type is traditionally a colour process, B&W images can print with a slight colour cast. Whilst this is not always the case, I insist on using the Giclée process for my B&W and monochromatic prints, where the Master Printer uses Hahnemühle heavy-weight photo papers.

Giclée is the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing, (with the specific translation of 'Giclée' being French for 'spray'). My printer uses professional fade-resistant Epson inks for beautiful, fully archival prints with exceptionally fine detail, bringing the texture of fur and feathers to life.

Patience. For every trouble. Mockup of framed print on wall

"When selecting your frame, think about the interplay between the image and frame. Portraits, landscapes, and organic textures can be accented with rounder, more natural frame profiles, whereas technical or architectural images become more alluring in frames with linear moulding. Select the frame that best fits your style and the print..."
